The easiest way to find your ring size at home is to measure the inner diameter of a ring that already fits the intended finger. If you do not have a suitable ring, you can measure the circumference of your finger using a strip of paper or non-stretch string.

Before ordering, check whether the TJ ring is fixed-size or adjustable. Many of our fashion rings are adjustable and do not require an exact fixed size.

Ring Size Chart

TJ’s fixed-size rings commonly use sizes such as 6, 7 and 8. Use the chart below to compare ring size with approximate inner diameter and finger circumference.

Ring Size Approximate Inner Diameter Approximate Finger Circumference
5 15.7 mm 49.3 mm
6 16.5 mm 51.9 mm
7 17.3 mm 54.4 mm
8 18.1 mm 57 mm
9 18.9 mm 59.5 mm
10 19.8 mm 62.1 mm
11 20.6 mm 64.6 mm
12 21.4 mm 67.2 mm

Small differences can occur between manufacturers and designs. Select the size shown on the individual TJ product page and treat these measurements as a practical guide.

How to Measure a Ring That Already Fits

You will need:

  • A ring that fits the intended finger
  • A ruler marked in millimetres
  • A flat surface

Place the ring flat on the ruler. Measure straight across the inside opening from one inner edge to the opposite inner edge. Make sure the ruler passes through the exact centre of the ring.

Do not measure from the outside edges and do not include the thickness of the ring.

Compare the inner diameter with the chart. For example:

  • Approximately 16.5 mm corresponds to size 6
  • Approximately 17.3 mm corresponds to size 7
  • Approximately 18.1 mm corresponds to size 8

If you obtain a rounded measurement of approximately 17 mm, size 7 will normally be the closest option in TJ’s fixed-size range.

What Does “17 Ring Size” Mean in Pakistan?

Some sellers in Pakistan use the approximate inner diameter as a ring-size description. A ring described as size 17 may therefore refer to an inner diameter of around 17 mm. In TJ’s fixed-size options, this will usually be closest to size 7, which has an approximate inner diameter of 17.3 mm.

Because naming can vary between sellers, compare the measurement with the chart and use the actual size option displayed on the TJ product page.

How to Measure Your Finger With Paper or String

If you do not have a ring that fits, use a narrow strip of paper or non-stretch string.

  1. Wrap it around the base of the finger where you intend to wear the ring.
  2. Keep it comfortably firm without pulling it too tightly.
  3. Mark the point where the paper or string overlaps.
  4. Lay it flat against a ruler.
  5. Measure the length in millimetres.
  6. Compare the result with the finger-circumference column in the chart.

Measure the Correct Finger

Ring sizes can differ between:

  • Your left and right hands
  • Different fingers on the same hand
  • Your dominant and non-dominant hand
  • The base of the finger and the knuckle

Measure the exact finger and hand on which you plan to wear the ring.

When Is the Best Time to Measure Ring Size?

Finger size can change slightly during the day because of temperature, activity and swelling.

  • Measure when your hands are at a normal, comfortable temperature
  • Avoid measuring immediately after exercise
  • Avoid measuring when your hands are unusually cold
  • Measure more than once
  • Check that the ring can pass comfortably over the knuckle

What If You Are Between Two Ring Sizes?

If your measurement falls between two sizes, the better choice can depend on the design.

A wider ring may feel tighter than a narrow ring in the same size. If the ring has a wide band or your knuckle is noticeably wider than the base of your finger, the larger option may be more comfortable.

Do not automatically choose a larger size for every design. Check the product description and whether the ring is fixed or adjustable.

Fixed-Size and Adjustable Rings

Fixed-size rings

These are sold in specific sizes, such as 6, 7 or 8. Measure carefully before ordering.

Adjustable rings

These have an open or flexible band that can accommodate a range of finger sizes. Adjustment differs by design, so avoid forcing the band beyond its natural range.

The individual product page will indicate whether a TJ ring is fixed-size or adjustable.

Common Ring Measurement Mistakes

  • Measuring the outside diameter of an existing ring
  • Measuring in centimetres but reading the result as millimetres
  • Pulling string or paper too tightly
  • Using stretchy thread
  • Measuring the wrong finger
  • Ignoring the width of the ring
  • Assuming the same finger has an identical size on both hands

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I check my ring size at home in Pakistan?

Measure the inner diameter of a ring that already fits, or measure your finger circumference with a paper strip or non-stretch string. Compare the result with the ring-size chart.

What is size 7 in millimetres?

Ring size 7 has an approximate inner diameter of 17.3 mm and an approximate finger circumference of 54.4 mm.

What is size 8 in millimetres?

Ring size 8 has an approximate inner diameter of 18.1 mm and an approximate finger circumference of 57 mm.

If my ring measures 17 mm, which size should I select?

An inner diameter close to 17 mm will generally be closest to size 7 in TJ’s fixed-size ring options. Measure carefully through the centre of the inside opening.

Are all TJ rings available in sizes 6, 7 and 8?

No. Size availability depends on the design. Some rings have fixed-size options, while many fashion rings are adjustable. Always check the individual product page.

Can I measure my ring size directly with a ruler?

A ruler alone is difficult to use directly around a finger. Use a strip of paper or non-stretch string, mark the overlap and then measure that length with the ruler.

Should a ring feel tight?

A ring should feel secure but comfortable. It should pass over the knuckle without excessive force and should not leave persistent pressure or restrict normal movement.
